Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to everyone! Kimi and I are extremely excited about what the new year holds. Since moving to Pennsylvania from California in July, we finally are feeling settled and are anxious to begin working with new people on their event invitations! Wedding planning season will be in full swing for those planning a late spring or summer wedding so please contact us before our schedule fills. To keep you inspired, here are a few of our favorite design sites to energize those creative juices for your events this year!

Almost there
Well, we’re moving yet again but this time it should be permanent. We’re hoping to be in the new place by the end of October which means business should resume shortly thereafter. Please standby!

Eames brothers stamps
USPS released a set commemorating the Eames brothers revolutionary furniture design. Of course, I won’t be using mine but framing them instead!
In recognition of their groundbreaking contributions to architecture, furniture design, manufacturing and photographic arts, designers Charles and Ray Eames will be honored next summer with a pane of 16 stamps designed by Derry Noyes of Washington, DC. If you’ve ever sat in a stackable molded chair, you’ve experienced their creativity. Perhaps best known for their furniture, the Eameses were husband and wife as well as design partners. Their extraordinary body of creative work — which reflected the nation’s youthful and inventive outlook after World War II — also included architecture, films and exhibits. Without abandoning tradition, Charles and Ray Eames used new materials and technology to create high-quality products that addressed everyday problems and made modern design available to the American public.

We’re Moving!
For many reasons, we’re officially announcing our cross-country move to Pennsylvania today. The biggest change will be who we are able to schedule personal consultations with, but our services will remain the same. The move will officially happen on June 27th, 2008, and we’ll be back in business just as soon as we’re able to ’set up shop’ again. We’ll keep you posted, and thanks for looking into us!

Myers invitation complete
If you haven’t noticed already, the invitation for the Myers’ garden wedding is now displayed on the Collection page. The screen printing turned out beautifully and the wedding is sure to be equally stunning. When possible, we are going to try to post some photos of the actual weddings we do invitations for to give a better sense of the entire affair. Congratulations again and if you received one of these, we hope you enjoyed it!

Congratulations to the Myers!
As we wrap up materials for the Smiths, we’re beginning to transition into the Myers’ wedding in May. We’ll be using many recycled elements, including an anthology of Shakespeare books. It will also tie into their evening garden affair with the use of organic paper and botanical motif. Here’s to another unique invitation!

Packages
We just wrapped up a Save the Date card for the Smiths, just in time for their Christmas delivery. Photos of the new invitation package will be posted on the Collection page as soon as the last invite is sent out in January. Since Anticipate is a fairly new business, we have the adventure of exploring new traditions with our customers. One of them being our signature wrap with every delivery because, let’s be honest, who doesn’t enjoy opening a nicely packaged package that someone meticulously hand-wrapped?

What we’re Anticipating
Thanks for checking out our little space on the web! Because Anticipate is about personal made-to-order invitations, we’d thought this blog would be a convenient place to share updates on what’s currently brewing over here. Expect anything from project updates to things that are currently inspiring our designs!

Congratulations!
We are currently busy working on a wedding package for the Smiths. A Save the Date, Invitation, and possibly even some signage for the day is in the works. Check back in the coming weeks for updates on the process of combining vintage class with modern flair.
